Branding ROARING 75

A HIDDEN LOUNGE WITH A PROHIBITION FEELING

"Where every visit feels like a secret worth sharing"

Roaring 75 is a speakeasy concept that blends the mystery of a hidden bar with the elegance of the 1920s. Tucked away behind a library shelf, accessible only by pulling the right book, this lounge transports guests back in time with its rich wooden bar, Art Deco ambiance, and a cocktail menu inspired by the Prohibition era.

The name, Roaring 75, ties together the essence of the 1920s with the French 75—an iconic gin-based cocktail from the era. To bring the brand to life, I carefully curated typefaces that embodied the bold and dramatic feel of the time: Disalina for the "Roaring" lettering and Sisters 4 for "75," creating a striking yet sophisticated logo.

The menu was designed with inclusivity in mind, featuring handcrafted cocktails and elevated dishes that cater to a variety of dietary preferences. For consistency, I developed a sleek brand guide that outlines Roaring 75’s mission, values, typefaces, and colour palette—emphasizing bold contrasts and neon-inspired accents. While I originally envisioned an actual neon sign, I opted for a high-quality mockup to showcase the brand’s aesthetic.

Bringing this concept from an idea to a fully realized brand identity was an exciting challenge. From name generation and typography selection to menu curation and visual storytelling, this project was an immersive exploration of branding, design, and hospitality. While Roaring 75 may remain a concept for now, the process of creating it was a rewarding exercise in crafting a compelling and cohesive brand experience.
