A PASSION PROJECT
Dominion Ale Works is a passion project born from my love of craft beer, design, and community! This brewery concept is rooted in fun, inclusivity, and a laid-back atmosphere, targeting young adults who appreciate high-quality beer and bold branding.
The goal was to create a brand that feels welcoming and adventurous, blending history with a modern, youthful edge. The name "Dominion Ale Works" is inspired from the street I bought my first house on.
I developed a visual identity that balances vintage charm with a fresh, modern feel. The colour palette—deep purple, black, and white—creates a striking contrast, while Art Deco typography gives it a unique, sophisticated touch. The logo and supporting graphics emphasize bold lines and a clean layout, ensuring brand consistency across packaging, merchandise, and digital platforms.
I designed mockups for labels, merchandise, and taproom aesthetics to bring the brand to life. The branding extends to social media concepts and potential marketing campaigns, ensuring a cohesive experience across all touch points.
Dominion Ale Works represents more than just a brewery concept—it’s a vision of what I hope to create in the future. This project allowed me to merge my expertise in branding with my deep appreciation for craft beer culture. While it’s currently a concept, I see it as a stepping stone toward my long-term dream of opening a brewery in Nova Scotia.
